Community/Day Centres

Torbay Care Trust opens in a new window is responsible for providing health and adult social care for people in Torbay.
There are  a number of day centres for people with learning disability and for older people. These services are only available following an assessment of need. This is a discussion with you to find out how best to support you with the problems you are having. Torbay Care Trust will look at your needs and decide whether you are eligible for services including attending one of their day centres.

A full list of registered care homes can be obtained from the new Commission for Social Care Inspection, (CSCI) which has superseded the National Care Standards Commission as from 1 April 2004.
