STI's - Know the Facts

Sexually transmitted infections (STI’s) are on the increase year on year and can be passed on through vaginal sex, anal sex, oral sex, mutual masturbation, and fingering or by sharing sex toys with someone who has an infection. They can affect anyone who has sexual contact with someone who has an infection even if you don’t go all the way.
Some STI’s can have no symptoms at all so you may not know you have an infection. Using condoms every time you have sex is the only way to reduce the risk of infections being passed on.
Some symptoms to look out for include;
  • Unusual discharge from the penis, vagina, or anus
  • Burning sensation when going for a pee
  • Blisters or bumps on the penis, vagina or anus
  • Itching around the genital area
  • Pain or soreness around the genitals
