If you have purchased a property in the Torbay Area or you have taken out a tenancy agreement, you must contact the Council within twenty-one days.

You should do this even if you do not intend to move in straight away or you are going to rent the property out.

If the property will be empty for a period of time, you may be entitled to a discount or exemption. More information can be found on the Discounts & Exemptions page. These must also be applied for within twenty-one days.
