The Early Years and Childcare Advisory Service supports all practitioners working with children in the Early Years who have special educational needs (SEN).

The Early Years Inclusion Consultant works in close partnership with the Special Educational Needs Co-ordinators (SENCOs) in early years settings in Torbay.  

Inclusion support will take the form of training, advice and guidance around individual children’s needs and inclusive practices.  

The Inclusion Consultant can be contacted by calling the Early Years and Childcare Advisory Service on 01803 208328

The service can be accessed by practitioners who complete a Children’s Integrated Services Access Request form and with parental consent. Referrals can be made by any practitioner involved with the child.  

Once a referral has been received the early years setting will be contacted and a visit will be arranged to meet with parents/carers, the child and practitioners.
