The SEN Outreach Services have been developed to support the inclusion of pupils with a range of needs in all Torbay’s maintained schools, including special schools and provisions. Access to these services is through a referral process and only once parental consent has been received.
The referrals are managed by the Special Needs Office and, if appropriate, followed by a visit from an Advisory Teacher specific to the particular Outreach Service. Following the visit the school can expect written feedback which may include suggestions for intervention and follow up dates.
