What is the Library & Leisure Card?
It’s FREE and entitles you to:
- Offers and reduced charges on a range of indoor and
outdoor fitness and leisure activities in Torbay. - Membership of Torbay Libraries to use free internet and email, borrow books and hire DVDs, CDs and language courses.
Where can I use my card?
The card can be used at the venues and services listed in the leaflet Library & Leisure Card : Where you can use it, which you will be given with your card.
Who can have a card?
People living in Torbay who receive any of the following benefits:

| Pension Credit | Letter from the Pension, Disability & Carers Service confirming award |
| Education Benefits (e.g. free school meals and/or Healthy Start vouchers) | Letter of confirmation from Department of Health |
| Health Benefits (e.g. free prescription glasses or dental care) | Letter of confirmation from Department of Health |
| Disability Living Allowance | Letter from the Pension, Disability & Carers Service confirming award |
| Foster Carers, Carer, Carers’ children and/or looked after children | Letter of confirmation of Carer status from Torbay Council Children’s Services |

NOTE CHANGES TO BENEFITS SYSTEM
Some of the above benefits will be replaced by Universal Credit in October 2013. Universal Credit holders will be entitled to a Library and Leisure Card.

How do I get a card?
You can join at any Torbay library (except the Mobile Library).
Just take along your proof of benefit and ask for a Library and Leisure Card.

If you already have an ordinary library card
You can ask to change to the Library and Leisure card at any Torbay Library (except the Mobile Library).
Conditions
•The Library and Leisure Card is free but you need to renew it in April each year.
•You must show the card at participating venues to allow you any discounts
being offered.

The Library and Leisure Card scheme is coordinated by Torbay Libraries but offers are entirely subsidised by the venues and businesses taking part.
