Lanterns, Lights & Luminations 2018

Saturday 24thn November 2018.

FREE Lantern Making workshop in the Scala Hall, Brixham Town Hall from 10am to 1pm. Come along and make your lantern and join in the lantern parade in the evening. We will have a stock of battery operated Tea lights available for £1.

Brixham Theatre will be hosting a Festive Café in the Function Room, Town Hall between 10am and 1pm.

Christmas stalls, Hot & Cold Food, Live Music and Entertainment from 1pm on the Quay.

Grand Fireworks display at 6pm.

Christmas Lights Switch On at 6pm.

Live Music  after the fireworks until 7pm.

World War One Tea Dance

The Town Council will be holding an Afternoon Tea Dance on Saturday 10th November 2018 in the Scala Hall, Brixham Town Hall. The event is being held to mark the 100th Anniversary of the end of World War One.

Live entertainment will be provided by Sandy Sparkle, a professional female vocalist who will be singing music from the era. Light refreshments will be offered to guests including sandwiches subsidised by the Berry Head Hotel and a Remembrance themed cake which has been kindly donated by Clare Vaz of Patty’s Pieces of Cake.

Tickets will be available from the Town Council office. To qualify for a ticket, you must be a Brixham resident. Tickets numbers are limited, and priority will be given to members of Brixham Community groups. Please contact Brixham Town Council for further details 01803 859678 or info@brixhamtowncouncil.gov.uk

Brixham Town Council to host Candidate Café

Brixham Town Council is to a host a Candidate Café session on Monday 22nd October between the hours of 5.30pm and 7pm when members of the community can come along to find out what being a Town Councillor is all about ahead of the forthcoming elections which are due to take place in May 2019.

 

On display will be information about the work of the Council, its committees, sub-committees and working groups, its partnership working with Torbay Council and other local organisations and groups, and about the new ward arrangements following this year’s Boundary Commission Review.

 

The Town Clerk and Councillors will be on hand to answer your questions and you will be able to view information about the Council’s current services and about the Strategy for the future.
