Windy Corner Update

Good morning, On Monday 9th September Torbay Council will be returning to Windy Corner junction to complete/improve the highway street lighting associated with the recent junction improvement scheme. The works will take place over a three week period and unfortunately there are likely to be some delays please make allowances for these delays when planning any journey through these works. The proposed traffic management for these works are as follows: - Phase 1 - w/c 9th September for 5 days (off peak hours only) Brixham bound lane of Dartmouth Road (the new road) will be closed with traffic diverted onto the existing Paignton seafront bound lane. Bascombe Road closed with a diversion signed through Bridge Road. Off peak hours only, between 09:30 and 15:30. This will effectively return the main road layout to how is was before the recent improvement works were completed. Phase 2 w/c 16th September for 5 days (off peak hours only) Paignton bound lane closures. One of the two Paignton bound lanes will be closed. Off peak hours only, between 09:30 and 15:30. Phase 3 w/c 30th September (nights) Works on the main junction. Temporary traffic lights. Evening/overnight works commencing at 19:30. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
