4th Brixham Brownies
4th Brixham Brownies meet on a Friday evening at St Margaret Clitherow school during term time. We have a varied programme which has included rock climbing, swimming, knitting, playing games and working towards badges. We run one or two residential events each year including a popular sleepover in the school hall!
We have places for girls aged seven to ten.
Brownies are part of Girlguiding which is the leading charity for girls and young women in the UK.
Acess to Community Education (ACE)
ACE is a unique organisation which caters for adults with a physical disability. Each week during term-time we offer classes/activities starting with swimming on a Monday at Brixham's Admiral Pool. At South Devon College we offer a Thursday social morning which is led by members and followed by lunch. Thursday afternoon classes are sportmobility, and drawing and painting. Swimming, sportmobility and drawing and painting are taught by South Devon College tutors and supported by a care worker. The Saloon is an attractive, carpeted room with a viewing window to the pool hall, wifi connection, and an attached 'Galley' with fridge and microwave. There are adjacent toilets and as it can be isolated from the poolside it is ideal to hire for a variety of purposes.
Brixham Amateur Boxing Club
We are an amateur boxing club affiliated with England Boxing. Our qualified volunteer staff offer boxing sessions to young people from the age of 5yrs.
Brixham and Paignton Stamp Club
Meet on the second Monday of the month at 7.15pm at Chestnut Community Centre, Poplar Avenue, Brixham (not July and August). We talk stamps, we display stamps, we see stamps. Free membership this year, and free refreshments mid-way through the evening. Loads of free on-street parking. Disabled access and toilet. Average age membership mid-70s, ladies and gentlemen members. Everyone welcome irrespective of age and knowledge.
An archery club based in Brixham and Churston. We currently shoot indoors in a unit on Northfields Industrial Estate, and outdoors at Churston behind the Ford garage. We also have woods where members shoot at 3D targets. Archery is suitable for all ages, and most medical conditions can be accomodated
Brixham Art Society
Brixham Art Society has a long tradition of encouraging local art lovers to immerse themselves in the creative process of drawing and painting. We all gain confidence from sharing ideas and encouraging each other. Members also have opportunities to exhibit their work at various exhibitions we hold throughout the year. We hold monthly demonstrations by talented professional artists at Brixham Rugby Club, Rea Barn Road, Brixham. Visitors are welcome at £3.50 per session. Brixham Battery Heritage Centre

The Brixham Battery Heritage Group was founded in 1999. We are a group of volunteers helping to restore the Brixham coastal defence battery built in 1940 and to provide on site information to the general public and other organisations.
Brixham Belles, plus One
A handbell group for adults, we meet every Wednesday evening from 7.30pm-8.30pm at St Mary's Church, Drew Street. An ability to read music is not essential as we use numbered scores however a commitment to meet every week and a willingness to perform in public helps. We aim to have fun so a sense of humour is essential!
The Brixham Buccaneers invite you to experience their swashbuckling pirate antics; most Thursdays during holiday season and as part of other events. They also organise the Brixham Pirate Festival.

Brixham Cricket Club
Brixham Cricket Club has modern purpose built premises on North Boundary Road. We run one Saturday side, one Sunday team and play a number of evening 20/20 matches. Our youth teams play in the South Devon league. Cricket practice is every Tuesday for adults, every Wednesday for the 14/19 age groups and every Friday for under 11 and under 13. 6.30pm start in all cases. New players are welcomed at the ground or phone the club secretary, Phil Gregory.
Brixham Detachment, Devon Army Cadet Force
Brixham Detachment, Devon Army Cadet Force is an MOD-sponsored youth organisation for young people aged between 12 and 18. The Detachment parades at our unit on Mount Pleasant Road every Tuesday and Thursday between 7pm and 9pm, helping young people have fun whilst learning skills and gaining experiences. Brixham Fairtrade Working Group
Brixham first achieved Fairtrade Town status in Feb 2015 and again in 2016. This has brought people together, boosted civic pride and offered an opportunity for local people to act together to make a difference. Brixham Fairtrade Working Group was set up to ensure the Fairtrade Town campaign continues to develop and gain new support from people, businesses, schools and local organisations. We are active within the community, putting on events and raising awareness. So please continue to support the work of Brixham Fairtrade Working Group by whenever possible buying Fairtrade goods from our local businesses and using them in your organisation thereby helping other countries to have a better quality of life. Leisure area for small children and young families, based in Higher Brixham, Rowan Avenue, near Chestnut Primary School. Open all day, approx. 10 to 4 pm.
Brixham Gig Club
Cornish Pilot Gig Rowing Club situated in Brixham for all ages juniors and adults. Brixham Gig Club launched their first training boat in 2012 and have raised funds for a racing gig which competes all over the South West during the season. We have around 100 members who are involved both race and social rowing and are raising funds for a second wooden racing gig.
Brixham Girls Rugby
Girls Rugby is open to girls aged 13 to 18. Training takes place at the Rugby Club, 18:00 to 19:00 on a Tuesday during the rugby season. The season starts in September.
Brixham Good Companions
We are a friends club. We meet 2pm-4pm on the first Friday of the month at the AV Lounge, Old Coaching Inn, Fore Street, Brixham. We have speakers, music, and visiting choirs. We also have 6 outings a year, and in December we go for our Christmas lunch. All welcome.

Brixham Town Band
We are a traditional town brass band. We play for fun and have a busy calendar including Christmas and summer quayside concerts. We encourage and train players of any ability and ages. The training band is for beginners from 8 to 70+, on Thursday evenings, 6.30pm at the Friends Centre, Penn Lane. The main band meets on a Monday at 7.45pm also at the Friends Centre and then Thursday at 7.45pm. Tuition is free and we can provide instruments.

We are a friendly group of crafters that meet alternate Tuesday and Wednesdays each week at either the Barn Chapel or Flavel Hall in Galmpton between 9 - 12. Brixham sailing trawler built 1895. Various volunteering opportunities incl sailing, maintainance, woodwork, egineering and shore based support. Sailing on a big red sailed wooden vessel. No experience required and great food. Short trip or longer. Easter to October. Single berth or whole boat charter. All proceeds to preserve heritage of vessel typical of local victorian fleet.
A small charity which provides free play opportunities for children and young people across the bay. Free training opportunities for the whole community.
Pride in Brixham
A group of volunteers working with the Brixham Harbourmaster and his staff around the Area of Harbour Estates. Throughout the year they raise funds through holding coffee mornings and summer fayre etc and to end off the year they organise the Brixham Christmas Carnival.

Torbay Coast and Countryside Trust
Torbay Council funding cuts to conservation charity.
The Torbay Coast and Countryside Trust (TCCT) manages Torbay’s green spaces, woodlands, nature reserves, beaches and the SW coast path. The Trust has always been part funded by Torbay Council to do this, Torbay Council are now proposing to remove this funding without public consultation.
The Trust cannot continue to manage Torbay's green spaces as they currently do without this funding.
The TCCT mission statement says it all - 'to protect land, conserve nature and strengthen the bonds between people and the natural world of Torbay.'
Noel Hughes, Countryside Officer at Berry Head National Nature Reserve commented “If you feel as passionately about Torbay’s countryside as we do then take action and sign the petition.” (CLOSES BY THE 15TH OCTOBER)
Torbay Community Bus Association Ltd
We run a community not for profit bus service every evening from Brixham to Furzeham and Wall Park and also an hourly evening service from Brixham to Kingswear. We are all volunteers and are always looking for more help, not necessarily drivers.

Vigilance is a restored 78 foot heritage sailing ketch based in Brixham, Devon, England.
Formerly Brixham Blind and Visually Impaired Club, we are now VisualEyes Torbay, a sight impaired charity based in Brixham. Meeting on the first Monday of each month between 2pm and 4pm at the United Reform Church Hall, New Road, Brixham.
Based at Brixham United Reformed Church, we are a charity founded by churches in Torbay to work with young people in the community to inspire them with a vision for life.
