About the Scheme
Gardens are important to the elderly and disabled residents who may not leave the house very often and in later life gardening can become more difficult.
The benefits of offering an assisted gardening service are:
• Improve health and wellbeing
• Tidy gardens will help to reduce trips and falls
• Reducing residents worries and concerns
The Garden Assistance Scheme is designed to help with the maintenance of grass areas, shrubs, bushes and hedges. An assessment of the garden will be carried out by the Lengthsman prior to works being commenced and an indication of timescale and cost to complete the work will be given. This is a chargeable service, at just £15 per hour. To register on the service, please complete the attached application form.
