Torbay Coast and Countryside Trust
Torbay Council funding cuts to conservation charity.
The Torbay Coast and Countryside Trust (TCCT) manages Torbay’s green spaces, woodlands, nature reserves, beaches and the SW coast path. The Trust has always been part funded by Torbay Council to do this, Torbay Council are now proposing to remove this funding without public consultation.
The Trust cannot continue to manage Torbay's green spaces as they currently do without this funding.
The TCCT mission statement says it all - 'to protect land, conserve nature and strengthen the bonds between people and the natural world of Torbay.'
Noel Hughes, Countryside Officer at Berry Head National Nature Reserve commented “If you feel as passionately about Torbay’s countryside as we do then take action and sign the petition.” (CLOSES BY THE 15TH OCTOBER)
