Brixham Peninsula Neighbourhood Plan
What is the Brixham Peninsula Neighbourhood Plan?
A neighbourhood plan sets out the policies that are used to help make decisions about planning applications in the area. The plan helps local communities play a direct role in planning the areas in which they live and work. The Brixham Peninsula Neighbourhood plan was adopted in May 2019, following a referendum.
A new Broadsands, Churston and Galmpton neighbourhood area and forum was approved by Torbay Full Council in November 2021. The Brixham Peninsula Neighbourhood Plan remains adopted and Brixham Town Council is the qualifying body for that part of the neighbourhood plan which falls within the Parish.
The neighbourhood plan is being refreshed, with a particular focus on effectiveness of policies and reflecting the new designated boundary.
